WARMAN SPECIAL BEACH RACER

 

 

Rod HadfieldÕs Warman Special is a full-sized version of a land-speed model his

 grandfather - Sidney Raymond Warman -  built in the 1930Õs.

 

 

Built around a 27 litre V12 Rolls Royce engine sourced from a Centurian tank –

mated to a lengthened Packard limo chassis.  The body is hand built in aluminum

 and period parts were used whenever possible.

 

 

Rod spent five years planning the project, collecting period parts and building this

 152 inch wheel based Special

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rod also built a 1955 Chevrolet - with a 27 litre Rolls Royce Merlin supercharged

 V12 out of a P51 Mustang fighter plane – called ÒFinal ObjectiveÓ
